Jeep's lineup will expand in 2024 with the introduction of the Jeep Recon EV. This midsize SUV stands out in the marketplace with its off-road capabilities and open-air driving experience. Specifically, the Recon EV is an all-electric model with removable doors and a power-folding rooftop. The exterior is designed after the Wrangler EV, but it also displays its individuality from end to end. Its exterior will feature an illuminated front grille with seven slots, a boxy profile, an innovative wheel design, and squared-off fenders. The U-shaped LED headlights on the nose have a flat bottom, and the powerful bumper features tow hooks and foglights. Some trims may have two-tone coloring, roof rails, skid plates, heated side mirrors, and a power liftgate.

The 2024 Jeep Recon EV cabin offers seating for five passengers, quality seat materials, and a rubber floor covering. This EV's dashboard is tall and slanted, with large display screens for the digital instrumentation gauges and the infotainment system. These screens are mounted slightly in front of the dashboard for convenient access. In line with Jeep's modern design language, the air vents are circular. The center stack includes the interface for the climate control system and various operational controls. Two shifting knobs are accessible in the center console.

Many aspects of the Recon EV's performance capabilities have yet to be available. However, Jeep has announced that this vehicle can fully navigate the Rubicon Trail with its solid capabilities. Some of its available mechanical features are locking differentials and off-road driving modes. All trim levels will have a 4x4 drivetrain and draw power from an emission-free electric powertrain.
